I have talked to quite a few Z guys and I ALWAYS mention
Twinturbo.net. Almost all of them say they have been here
but members were rude or they did not post because of all
the other ppl getting flamed. I have also pointed ppl here
that have never heard about it, wondering if they will also
leave because of the way new members are treated. Everyone
was a newbie at one time! Common sense knocking at your
door. Granted we could never have been as stupid as these
newbies, right!I understand how it works here now and having meet a lot of
members during ZCON it has become a lot more fun on here.
It is easy to relate to ppl after meeting them, and know how to
poke fun at them. All in fun of course. Such as comments
about Wagz's big Butt, You (Miles) having a Z (Which has still
to be proven), or Genic and goats (or Dell boy, or curb hitter,
or giving his Z away, or..) you get the point. We all like to play.
Some ppl just react different and we have to remember that
in order for this community to grow. I am not the nicest guy, and I do flame here and there. Hell,
everyone knows it is fun to poke fun at other ppl and their
cars. I also abstain from comments when I agree or disagree
w/ a post. What is the point of flaming someone for having
different taste? Sure I think huge tachs are ugly, but I don't
flame Jerry every time he posts pics of his car, or a newbie either. I don't mind ppl pointing out crap wrong w/ my car. I don't
care if they don't like what I have done to my car. And it
should not bother the newbie either, but it does bother some
and they don't come back. Who knows they may have been a
great member who could have given us some great ideas. I think
some of the stuff on my car is "Rice" and I am fixing that. Hell,
I hear it every day on my Ugly Bezel from Spencer, or about my
Dash mat from 1/2 dozen members. I have listened to some things
Ppl say and realized that they are right on some issues. (Dash
Mat will be off when I put my new dash in) Same w/ the bezel ?
GET OFF MY ASS! A lot of ppl myself included love their car. And when ppl rip on
their car they take it to heart. I use to some what, but then again
I did not set my car up to make them happy. Just Jealous ? I love this site and thank Damon and Greg for providing us a place
to talk about our cars. I have made a lot of good friends here and
hope to make more. I have gotten through my newbie time and lived
to talk about it. Take Jarred Todd for example, that boy needed help
when he got here, but he stuck it out and has changed a lot. Don’t get
me wrong he still post crazy crap every now and then, but does not
get flamed much anymore. He was one of the worse immature newbies
I have seen come here, but I get along w/ him just fine now. Yes, the Z community is getting younger as the cars are getting
cheaper. I want to kill/flame a lot of the newbies, who do stupid shit
(in my own eyes) to the Z car. There is a nicer way to tell ppl that what
they are doing is for Honda or other import cars. No need to post, “OMG
that is F*ucking the worse looking Z I have ever seen, what the hell are
you thinking” At least point out some good parts before you bash the
hell out of them…lol These are kids we are dealing w/ now, and when you were a kid and ppl
told you NOT to do something, what did you do? You did it ? Take the
time to teach them about the Z history, help them take pride in the car and
it’s history. Make them realize this is not a typical Import, but also realize
they have their own style and accept that. It is all black and white, common
sense, stuff your parents taught you. Do unto other crap… Ok, I am off my pedestal and looking for something else to do. Sorry so
Long, I just lost power and have nothing to do here ?. I was in the middle
Of playing SOCOM online and saw a post from Miles so I thought, “Sweet,
someone to flame!” See perfect timing, Power is now back on…
